ChocFest! November 18th and 19th 2016
Oh my goodness, Saturday was a cold morning! It was gloriously sunny though and the early drive over to Melton Mowbray treated us to beautiful views of wintry frosty fields. This was a two day event and we were pleased to see so many people attend, especially as this was the first of its kind in Melton. Of course, ChocFest was all about chocolate. Everything was chocolate themed, from chocolate wine to chocolate coated Melton Mowbray pork pies; it was a chocoholic’s paradise! Now, with this event being about all things chocolatey we came up with a couple of new additions to our menu: a Nutella calzone and a Nutella, pear and amaretti biscuit calzone. Both were a little on the naughty side, but they were a very tasty little treat! Needless to say and purely for ‘quality control’ purposes we simply had to try these for ourselves: yum! Spicy salami and the classic margherita proved popular alternatives for those who had indulged in too much chocolate. It was good couple of days.
